Our story
Robert and Marce Allen opened The White Squirrel in August 2023 after retiring from distinguished careers in public service. Robert brought his expertise from years at NASA, while Marce contributed her experience from the Department of Defense. Their shared interest in the arts, combined with Robert's passion for photography, became the catalyst for opening this unique consignment shop dedicated to arts, crafts, and photography.
Named after the rare white squirrels found around Tappan Square and Morgan Street in Oberlin, we're the only business in Oberlin that offers consignment opportunities to local artists. Our 34 vendors display handmade quilts, cards, pottery, beauty products, jewelry and much more. Robert's photography studio offers high school portraits, family photos, and outdoor photography sessions.
